PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Instruct, monitor and assist progress of students in assigned content area
Collaborate with peers and administrators for improved instructional strategies to meet campus and district goals
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Experience Preferred
Bachelor's Degree Required
Valid Texas Teaching Certificate for Spanish Required
Additional Content Area Certification Preferred
ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES:
Effective Instruction in teaching Spanish as a Second Language
Provide support for Emergent Bilingual students in a variety of settings
Collaboration with campus intervention teams
Provide flexible instruction and support to meet the needs of diverse learners
Maintain accurate and complete paperwork requirements
Assist campus staff with development of supplemental aides and resources for students who are learning the English Language
Establish and maintain a positive and collaborative relationship with campus staff, students, and parents
Monitor and report student progress to appropriate staff as needed
Attend and participate in campus and district wide initiatives to improve the educational process
Attend LPAC meetings as appropriate
Assist general education teachers with additional requirements and needs of identified Emergent Bilingual students
Other duties as assigned
