If you have been a substitute for Hardin ISD from the previous school years you will need to complete a new application to be considered for the current school year.
New applicants will need to attend a substitute training. Please contact the HR Coordinator at 936-298-2112.
Qualified applicants will be professional, courteous, and dedicated to providing outstanding service to our students. A High School degree or GED are required.
In the absence of the classroom teacher, the substitute teacher promotes and nurtures the education of students by providing instruction, encouraging student progress and managing the learning environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintaining a safe and welcoming classroom environment
- Leading and facilitating activities for children
- Modeling positive and appropriate classroom behavior
- Maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment
- Maintaining a high level of energy throughout the work day
- Maintaining strict confidentiality of all information regarding students
- Maintain and promote a positive attitude and reflection of Hardin ISD schools
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Satisfactorily pass a criminal background check and drug test
- Reliable, punctual and available on short notice
- Subject to assignment grades Pre-K through 12
- Professional dress required.
- Prompt attendance required.
